Its a curse of modern world , as we all have realized that there is a potent danger posed by this threat and all of us are trying to beat this evil. The fight against obesity is not always successful as people tend to be swayed by advertising gimmicks of weight loss remedies and end up harming themselves more than benefiting. So how do you go about fighting weight loss. The one word answer remains that you choose a weight loss pill with care and caution, if you want to have a realistic chance of winning the battle and yet keeping you fit. So look for the ingredients of the weight loss pill and how it functions , It will give you an idea about how the product might be. A good pill that does its job in effectively fighting obesity according to me is Leptovox

The fine ingredients used in its preparation and the scientifically measured approach to weight loss with out compromising nutrition makes this pill stand out from the rest.

My lion fish is dead for my MISTAKE

<hello><not><looks><more><and><chris><sorry>Urgent help required. My lion is dying. 8/29/08
Sir,
!!Hello!
I am in a deep trouble. I have a small aquarium and I keep a small lion and 1 carpet anemone.
!!Not compatible, especially in a small tank.!!
This is a new fish. It was apparently healthy but within 2 days my lion is having some fungus type of thing on his left side while the right side is clear. Can you tell me what the disease is and how to treat it.
!!I do not believe this is a disease, I think it got stung by the anemone.!!
Please see the picture for correct understanding of the problem. Please do something he is not eating and staying in one place and breathing.
!!Looks like an anemone sting to be, good water quality and the removal of one or the other from the tank.!!
I have posted more pictures here please see it and then respond and help me.
The anemone stung it once.
!!More than once I would guess.!!
I have seen it , the lion went near the anemone then suddenly shot away.
!!And this is the result.!!
http://petsconcern.blogspot.com/2008/08/please-help-sos.html
Regards
Babu Banik.
!!Chris!!
--------------

Thanks for your timely reply but my lion expired today and I transferred the anemone.
!!Sorry!!
Now please see the wounds of the dead lion and tell me if it was due to the anemone sting or some disease.
!!I would still guess the anemone, perhaps with a secondary infection.!!
As yesterday night the fungus was on one side today morning it was on both sides. My aquarium is small so should I keep the water and release some smaller fish after few days or throw away the water and start fresh.
!!I would not do much of anything besides maybe a partial water change if the other fish are ok.!!
Please help.
!!Chris!!<chris><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; It's essentially necessary. No one can deny that you don't have to have some books to read if you want to be a responsible dog owner. Some one said it perfect: "Responsibility of a dog owner starts right before purchasing a puppy and never after bringing the little pooch home. After bringing your puppy home, the responsibility only magnifies. The sense of responsibility starts with some study about the dogs to know the pros and cons of the story and how to train them at home". All that you need to do is to be a bit more responsible and get yourself groomed up with some training knowledge that will help you train your dog yourself rather than depending on the trainers. If you know a professional trainer and if you want Fido to learn some special tricks or if you want to show Fido in any esteemed dog show you must bank upon someone who is an expert. Otherwise you can train him by yourself at home and he can be really the most obedient member of your family.

To read the entire article you may visit my site

Use Our Dog Training Product - Believe in The Best

<img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; The menace of obesity is in fact, on a rampage worldwide and is affecting people irrespective of Gender or geographical boundaries. The physical and mental problems that are associated with obesity are cause of a considerable amount of deaths worldwide. There are varied reasons for obesity and we need proper medication to beat this threat. Its easier said than done. There are scores of medicine that claims to arrest or treat obesity. Now each company making a particular drug advertises only the good effects of the same and sometime deliberately hides certain facts from the customers. It is therefore very important to look for the details of each medicine and consider all aspects before settling to use one to reduce obesity. Its almost impossible at least for me to look into those scientific jargons and advertorial claims on the products and select one. I am sure to make mistake in choosing the right pill and I am sure that will lead to more complications than it would cure. I there always follow and advice others to follow recommendations and ranking of such drugs by some knowledgeable people. There is a site I have come across recently that does exactly what everyone looks for. They rate popular diet pills based on the following criteria,

* . Value
* Ingredient Quality
* Customer Feedback
* Safety
* Company Reputation
* Reorder Rates
* Customer Service
* Product Sensation
* Packaging
* Long-Term Benefits
* Product Convenience
* Weight-Loss Potential

To provide people with a sound knowledge about these drugs so they can make a better choice in purchasing Diet Pills. To know which diet pill in the world is best for you I suggest you check out the comparison of top Diet pills around the world.

Duramune Max 5-CVK – Vaccine For Dogs

With the rising fear of the dog owners of losing their dogs from the deadly virus attacks, the Duramune Max 5-CVK has come up with the most effective measure to prevent these viral diseases. It certainly helps if one has some ideas on the needs of a hound as robust as Basset hound before visiting the pet store as there are chances after seeing a Basset you may be compelled to buy it. Its unique appearance is arresting, attractive and dignified. Naturally Basset Hounds are well tempered, affectionate, sociable, friendly and loyal. Basset Hounds are robust Hounds that don’t require any special diet as an adult and if you are picking a Basset in its early days it can be very responsive to training. It’s a sensitive dog so all correction during training should be done with extreme care or else the basset is prone to become timid or shy. Also if not treated with considerable understanding it might become stubborn, willfully disobedient or non-cooperative. If treated and trained well there can be no better a canine companion than a Basset hound. It though does not need a vigorous exercise regimen on a daily basis it is always advisable to give it a fairly long walk daily to keep it in good health and mood. While getting a young pup one must assume that the pup is not stupid but understand that a hound’s memory is retentive but its intelligence is limited. The pup will therefore take little time in adapting so it’s unreasonable to expect from it to be responsive to the owner’s changing mood and has to be dealt in a consistent temperament. Some activities that look good when it’s a pup like tug and biting your dresses may be fun but be alert to avoid acts like these that can become a problem when the hound is adult. A pup that is supposed to live indoors or spend its life as a companion in a house should be taught house manners during its early days. Teaching house manners will not prove difficult if you can tackle with patience and determination. Pups always take meals at frequent intervals so its likely that they would try to relive themselves as frequently. Pups should be watched carefully so that they can be put in a place where you intend it to relive itself so that they get accustomed. After every meals, a considerable time of playing, when you see the pups going round etc. Look for these subtle symptoms and act accordingly. Don’t get frustrated with accidents, they are bound to happen. Pups might not relive them as soon as you put them there it might take a while wait with your pups and reward him once he is done. This will encourage it in anticipation of a reward for a job done to your satisfaction. Its impossible to guess right the exact time to teach your dog to be clean and obedient in your house but with determination and care every dog learns it pretty soon. Remember firmness coupled with affection will build up a bond of respect , confidence and faithfulness which will only grow with the years.

By. This was mainly used in reference to the low slung body feature of the hound. Basset Hound is such a breed that it was rarely known to many dog lovers even few decades back, in spite of it being popular in France. The first documented record of Basset hounds come from the writings of De Fouilloux published in the year 1573. According to De Fouilloux, Basset d’ Artois (Name of basset hounds in those days) were mainly of two varieties The Artesian which had crooked forelegs and the Flemish which had straight legs. They came originally from areas in and around Flanders. The descendents of the Flemish varieties still exists today in the Fort Noire, Voges and according to some in German dachshund. People who believe that German dachshund is a descendent of Basset hounds claims so because they believe Basset might have been imported to Wurtemberg ( home of dachshunds) and made to cross with the terrier to introduce courage that is lacking in hounds. Basset hounds unlike other blood relatives, like the Hounds of Artois, Normandy, Gascony and Saintgone, survived the political turmoil which saw its lesser fortunate relatives go extinct. For the patronage from some quarters of old noblesse Basset of Artois were preserved in purity. Basset hounds were shown for the first time in the Paris Dog show in the year 1863 and after ten years Sir John Everett Millais brought to England the Hound called ‘Model’ and appeared at the wolverhampton show in the year 1875. The basset hound was officially recognized by Kennel club in 1880, and was given separate classes of its own at the wolverhampton where Basset had made his debut appearance in 1875 when it had appeared in the A.V. foreign dog class. The basset hound club was formed in 1884 .

By. Dog breeds like German Spitz, Siberian Samoyed, Russian Spitz and American Eskimo were imported to Japan through Siberia and Manchuria for this purpose and a new breed of dog evolved from this experiment. It was called the Japanese Spitz. First exhibited in Tokyo in the year 1921, and a while later in the year 1948 the Japan Kennel club formulated the breed standards. Owing to its immense popularity inside Japan this new breed was introduced and appreciated globally by the end of 1950. Japanese Spitz are small dogs weighing around 7-10 kgs when adult with a height of 38 cm max. The coat is double layered with long straight hair as an outer layer protecting the dog from climatic fluctuations and a second inner layer of dense soft and short hair of pure white color. The tail covered with long hairs curl over the back. The coat is shorter on the lower part of the legs . The dryness of its outer skin makes it immune to bad odor. The face is wedged shaped with small pointed, upright ears with large black oval eyes.

Japanese Spitz are great for apartment dwelling as they are a companion first and depend on the owner. On its part it is quite a responsible watch dog that loves his family and is also patient with toddlers and quite protective. Thus will bark and alert about strangers intrusion in his territory. Though cases have been reported of Japanese Spitz living up to 16 years its quite common for them to live up to 12 years if well cared for.

Buy All-Natural & Holistic Stuff for Your Dog at Just4Pooches

Canine Pyometra – Serious Issue Of Concern For The Dog Owners

The canine pyometra or the uterine infection is one of the most serious issues of concern for the dog owners –especially who have the female dogs. The condition may turn out to be fatal if left untreated within time either by the dint of right medicines or surgical removal of the uterus. As a matter of fact there are lots of antibiotics that may be come to a great help, although it is also quite true that antibiotics alone may not be an effective solution in such cases. Hence it is advisable to visit a registered veterinary practitioner and to steer clear of any experimentation.

Symptoms Of Pyrometer In Dogs

It is really quite tough for the general flock to ascertain if the dog is really suffering from uterine infection, although there are certain symptoms for the condition. Increased drinking accompanied by frequent urination are the leading sings of the bacterial toxin that is associated to the condition of pyometra.

Another vital symptom of the canine pyometra may be a discharge from the vulva of an unspayed (intact) female apart form the normal discharge that are usually seen during the estrus period – a period when the female dog is in heat. The pus may also ooze out if the female is suffering from the pyometra.

Lethargy, refusal of food, enlarged abdomen, fever, and high WBC count are some of the other symptoms of pyometra incanines.

Diagnosis Of Canine Pyometra

Since it is really quite hard to say for sure if your female dog has pyometra, hence the help of the renowned vet has to be sought to ascertain the presence of the uterine infection. The uterine infections can be ruled out by the dint of the X-ray and/or Ultrasonography. The vet may recommend certain other laboratory examinations as well.

Treatment

When it comes to pyometra in dogs, it is of utmost significance to take the right action in right time. The doctor would prescribe antibiotics in combination with the other requisite medicines. With the early treatment ther is a recovery rate of about 85 to 90 % cases of pyometra dogs, but the condition may be nightmare and will turn out to be deadly for the dogs if left untreated.

However the best treatment for the condition is to spay the female dog. Spaying means removal of uterus and overies. The vet may recommend the administration of prostaglandins in combination of antibiotics, which may turn out to be beneficial for “open pyometra”, although it cannot help resist the condition to happen again.for “closed pyometra” this simple treatment would be an utter flop.

10 Things to Know Before Buying Bird Houses

1. Most people recommend at least a 2 and 3/4 test curve rod or more, plus bait runner reels are a must. We actually use the Shimano 8010GT bait runner reels, and although there are some more modern ones on the market, we prefer these to anything else. But a lot of people also opt for the large big pit reels that hold a lot more line, as some of the places you may choose to fish could be quite a considerable distance from the bank.

In France there are a lot of privately owned fishing lakes such as Rainbow Lake, L'Etang de Tricherie, L'Etang du Chef de Ville, etc, that hire boats and many other lakes such as Bills Lake and Brittany Mill Lakes that allow you to use your own or hire out bait boats.

Also, many carp fishing lakes do not allow braid and the best option is monofilament line and we have found that Ultima PowerPlus is an excellent quality fishing line, yet a higher breaking strain line is needed when you are carp fishing in France compared to fishing most lakes in the UK.

Some lakes are also extremely strict on the type of tent where it must be a bivvy, but like ourselves where we do this as a family, we have a large tent which is not gaudy in colour but needs a bigger swim than most, so there are certain lakes that we could not go fishing at for this reason, so it is sensible to check out these details prior to booking your carp fishing holiday.

Now bait is something that differs from lake to lake and in some French carp lakes they will only allow specific types of bait and it is necessary to check this before you go, for instance, tiger nuts or certain ground baits are not allowed.

Mobile phones are the norm these days, but apart from these that need charging, you do have to consider things like bait boats if you have one, but there are now plenty of carp fishing lakes in France that do cater for charging different equipment you have, and when it comes to facilities, something you may not have really thought about is the need for a freezer, hang on forget this, what about washing facilities? Well forget this as well, we need the fridge, not just for the bait, but that cold beer or chilled water on a really hot day!

And although we all know the drive and survive aspect, there are now numerous different carp fishing lakes in France that have complete packages available right through from accommodation, to all of your equipment supplied and even lakes that supply a complete service from the flights through to full board, along with exclusive fishing and some of these include Dream Lakes, Croix Blanche, Willow Lake, Lake Juvanze, Brittany Mill Lakes and many more, plus some lakes are also available as an exclusive family holiday.

However, the cost for these and the all inclusive carp fishing packages can be considerably more expensive than making your own arrangements, but it can certainly save you a lot of hassle and keep the Wife happy!

Rules and regulations vary at the numerous carp lakes in France and some allow you to fish with three rods, whereas others are four and night fishing is only allowed if the owner has a permit for this, so again it is always a good idea to check these points prior to booking.

Other points you feel are essential for you, like local bars, restaurants, shops or swimming facilities, etc are also good points to check on, plus most people find that the carp fishing is best during the months from April through to October, but do bear in mind the further down South you go in the height of summer with hot days, most of the action will happen at night when it is cooler, so you had better be prepared for lack of sleep!

On one session near Bordeaux, we were getting up and down to the bite alarms at least two to three times every night and by the time our stay was coming to an end, we pulled our rods in just so that we could get some peace and quiet and catch up with much needed sleep before the long drive back home!

But saying that, when you are catching 40lb plus carp each time, the lack of sleep becomes insignificant and if you want to try catching a fish of a lifetime or just beating your personal best, then a carp fishing holiday in France is definitely for you!

About the Author:

<a Found all over the mediterranean and the subtropical coasts of Eastern atlantic. This eel in its natural habitat lives in caves and openings of rocks so should be provided with loads of hiding spaces . The basic water parameters to house them safely are as follows.
Density should be around 1.025 with a subdued lighting and a PH value of atleast 8 with temparatures ranging from 18-21 degree centigrade . Feeding this beautiful animal is very easy, it will readily eat small feeder fishes and will very easily learn to eat from you if you feed it by a stick or a forcep. Though crepuscular it can be very easily woken up to feed. Though it will not disturb fishes that are too big for their mouth , but a fight can be dangerous, as it has strong jaws.Its recommended to keep only one morrey eel in a tank and extreme care has to be taken while introducinsg new species of tank mate.

To buy a morrey eel you can contact me at 09339952258 or you can buy it straight from this site through paypal if you have a pay pal account. So you should find a cage large enough enabling your bird to spread its wings without any effort or hitting the cage’s sides.

Step Two
Find a square cage which provides the bird safeness and the opportunity to nest in the corners.

Step Three
Avoid bird cages that are rounded where bars bend to the gathering at the center - the toes or the tip of bird are getting caught in this task.

Step Four
If you want a cage that could be easy to clean and looking nice, you should look for a cage with plastic bars.

Step Five
If you consider buying a block bird cage with welded wires that will be the less expensive option. But you should know that in this case you must use vinegar and water for cleaning the bird cage and removing all the excessive zinc to prevent the bird poisoning.

Step Six
Make sure bars of the cage are not more than 3 / 4 of an inch distant in order to avoid your bird’s head to be stuck between the bars.

Step Seven
Bird Cage door should be big enough so you may stick your hand, with the bird perched on it, inside the cage as it is not necessary your bird to hang down.

Step Eight
Bird cage is good to be equipped with several perches and toys to keep your bird busy and having entertainment. For the purpose of that the cage height should be at least 16 inches for establishing two levels for the perches.

Step Nine
We advise you to find a bird cage that is wider than high cage because birds are used to pass most of their time on the ground floor.

Step Ten
It is more comfortable for your cockatiel and of course more pleasant for the eye if the bird cage is provided with a grid on the bottom for keeping the bird away from its droppings.

Tips & Warnings
• Place the bird cage in occupied room where people pass along regularly, as cockatiels are used to be in the middle of a gang.
• Make sure the bird cage is placed out of direct sunlight and any drafts or smokes.

Limoeg Veigroeg is owner and editor of http://www.birdcagesblog.com and http://www.birdcagesforum.com where you can find information on every type of pet birds and every type of bird cages and accessories. Doing this, make sure the cage is easily accessible without any risk of bird escaping. No matter if you use newspaper or other paper liners make sure that they will not cause problems to your bird in case of ingesting. Avoid any items that have glue or colored ink on them. You better find safe paper cardboard that could be easily removed and replaced. Depending on the size of your bird you may use several layers for bedding the cage as it gives you the opportunity to change just the top one.

Bird Cage Dishes: All food and water dishes must be cleaned with non-toxic cleansers under a hot water and then thoroughly dried. As doing that make sure no trace of soap, disinfectant or any other cleanser that you use remains on the dishes. Drying is very important step of the clean process because otherwise if the dishes are not absolutely dry that may cause damping and then molding of the seeds or pellets. A good solution to avoid that unpleasant and undesirable situation is to have at least two sets of dishes that you can have on your disposal when the one set is on process of drying. Materials as plastic or stainless steel are very useful for long lasting usage because they can withstand washings over and over again for a long period of time.
No matter what item you use as a dish - a bowl, cup, bottle or can, make sure that you have available accessory for perfect cleaning, for example a bottle brush, to avoid any droppings or disinfectant left on the dish surface.

Bird Cage Accessories: Each one of the accessories you placed in the cage should be regularly removed and cleaned with hot soapy water or other cleanser, rinsed and dried thoroughly before they are brought back in the cage. Doing that observe the items carefully for any accumulations of droppings and make sure you remove them all.

Bird Cage Surrounding area: All seed, pellet, hull, feather pickings and other debris should be swept or vacuumed from the bottom of the cage. But you know what they say, “Every dog ahs his day”, and I got mine too. This Christmas, my dear owner in my eyes, is no less beautiful than Audrey. Hepburn herself, has asked me for a list of 10 things that I want. And God! I can’t wait to get started.

• The first and foremost thing I want is to have my own bean bag, in front of the television. With my own Bean Bag, I can be a part of the prime time audience.

• I also want to have my own car and a driver, so that I can go for long drives as and when I want. Oh what fun would it be, to just hop on to the back seat of a convertible, have the wind blowing in my face and to have no one pushing me to the extreme corner of the car seat. I can’t wait to lie back and say to myself, “Now that’s the way to live!!!

• One thing I always dream of is to have a cupboard full of dog bones, in all flavors – chicken, pork, mutton, egg and even fish!!! I can chew on it all day and treat my palate to my heart’s leisure. That’s called getting a real taste of life!!!!

• Another thing that has always been a secret passion for me is to have cat in my captivity. But something tells me, this wish of mine will remain a wish considering my owner goes “Oh chooo chweet” every time she sees a cat at her window still, sitting majestically – much to my rising blood pressure !!!

• One thing I have always dreamt doing is to fly first class. After all, my owner has always made me feel that I deserve the best!!! I would love to lie back in the comfy cozy chairs I see in the television ads, be served chicken/mutton soup, with chop lambs and a jug of my favorite milk that I can keep lapping up while admiring the clouds and the sky outside. I would love to be on cloud nine literally, this X’mas.

• I also want a nice big bed all to myself. Even though I have been provided a decent bed and I am practically the master of the whole house (at least my owner tells me so), I still would love to have a master bed, where I can sleep without having to worry about stretching too much. Sometimes, I feel I don’t manage to catch the other dogs and cats in my dreams, because I don’t have that much of space to run while dreaming.

• I also desperately need a mobile phone. You might not believe me, but I do have quite a few local friends. They are cool dudes and it’s nice to meet them when I go for my walks. But there are times when I’m getting bored in the house. No cat or mouse in the house to hold my attention and no maids or squirrels to bark at. That’s when you feel like just calling up your friends.

• I would love to have my own personal shrink. There are so many things I want him to analyze for me, especially my dreams. I want to know why I only dream to cats and dogs and chasing them unsuccessfully all over town. I wonder if I have any karmic debts to settle with them or is it just my ID, my ego or the super ego that is causing me so much of heartburn.

• You might find this funny but I would also love to have a skateboard for myself. You know how it is. Sometimes you just feel so tired. I do want to go out for a walk, but I somehow don’t have the energy to walk. At such to just step on to the skateboard and look around. Now that would be a real smooth walk, don’t you think????

• And last, but not the least, I would like to have my own ATM card. There are times when you feel like indulging in something particular, but my owner does not understand exactly what I want. That’s when I feel my ATM card would be very useful. I can just go and withdraw money and head straight for the nearest dog store and buy whatever goodies I feel like eating. With time I might even cajole my owner to get me my own credit card. I have seen how easy it becomes when you have one. Then I can got o the jazziest dog store and have a blast.

Come to think of it, my list can go on and on, but I have been told to stop at 10 things for now. I can’t wait for December and the jingle bells ringing. With my wish list all set for my very own Santa Clause, I have already started my countdown. I am going to be the happiest dog this Christmas with all my wishes set to be fulfilled. And all those who love my kind and me, please come forward and join me in chorus to say “Amen” to that. Soon, I shall call all of you from my mobile and thank you all personally for all your good wishes. Merry X’mas!

We are INDIPETS remember and visit us. Animals too suffer from stress. We often remain oblivious to the fact that pets also suffer from stress. Being extremely sensitive to their surrounding, pets are known to develop emotional bonding with their owners (especially dogs) as well as fellow pets and any change in the environment triggers ‘change’ related stress in the same ways as it triggers stress in humans.

Stress usually is a response to stimuli involving situations that we consider to be threatening, depressing or out of control. The same is true for your dog. The animals respond by “fight or flight” method when threatened or frightened. During the "flight or fight" response, a complex series of chemical reactions and changes occurs in the nervous system of the body.

Sometimes, the “fight or flight” response doesn't work, and the animal becomes very irritated or upset, then it may adopt the “conservation-withdrawal” response. This response is initiated by the hippocampus (part of the brain), which then signals the hypothalamus leading to release of chemicals that stimulate the pituitary gland to produces a compound. This compound in turn activates the adrenal cortex to release corticosteroids which calm the nerves.

Long-term corticosteroid release suppresses the immune system, which makes your pet highly prone to diseases. The stomach is stimulated to release acids by the corticosteroids, which can lead to peptic ulcers. Both the “fight or flight” response and “conservation-withdrawal” tend to physically tax the animal leading to disruption of normal metabolism, growth, reproduction, and immune function, and can also cause an animal to self-mutilate. Other physiological events that occur are a decrease in heart rate, sometimes to the point of stopping completely and loss of appetite. Your pet may ultimately die "for no apparent reason."

Conditions such as infection, being kenneled, travel, breeding, separation from owner, shifting, addition or loss of a family member or another household pet, can cause stress in animals. In such cases, you dog can become extremely bored or show symptoms of severe stress such as fear, uneasiness and restiveness.

Dogs under stress can become violent, stop eating or overeat, become hypersensitive, bark incessantly, become hyperactive, destroy things or move objects in and around the household and resort to nervous licking or chewing of their own bodies. They can develop diarrhea, lose hair, develop mushrooming parasite populations, and their immune system can just disintegrate. What’s more disturbing is that stress can be a cumulative process. Each stressor by itself may not be significant and may seem apparently harmless, but when they affect your pet sequentially or simultaneously, they may push it over the threshold toward illness or death.

Stress Relieving Medicines

Dogs can be administered Stress Relievers to calm them. Some of these stress relievers claim to promote a sense of calm in animals exhibiting fear, fretting, anxiety or any unwanted behavior. But these medicines can also have certain risks and side effects. They can have toxins and induce drowsiness in your dog. These medicines may make your dog prone to reactions, drug interactions or adverse effects and are considered to be unsafe, inappropriate or completely ineffective.

These stress relievers are only meant to control short-term behavioral stress and anxiety and can be very detrimental to the pet’s health if administered on a long-term basis, even leading to death.

The Ultimate Remedy: PET-MUSIC

It has long been stated that music calms the savage beast and now with research to support that adage, you may be able to overcome stress or anxiety your own pet experiences. There are a variety of remedies to alleviate the stress your pet feels, and none may be more enjoyable for you and your pet than some soothing music. There is pet music to specifically provide a soothing soundtrack to lessen the stress of your pet and increase the positive brainwaves that elicit feelings of well being keeping them in good spirits.

Music therapy has revolutionized the way we can alleviate stress and anxiety in pets. It is safe with absolutely no side effects. This therapy employs music to untangle the knotted and stressed out nerves and brain, relaxing the mind-body as a whole. This music therapy is a method of beneficially recharging the cortex of the brain and distributing the latent energy throughout the nervous system of your pet. Usually, the effect of therapeutic music upon your pet is one of vitalizing, harmonizing and healing at almost every level of being. Music therapy is one of the most preferred techniques for relieving negative effects of stress.

Modern therapeutic science says that music has a massaging effect on our brain. Perhaps, that is the primary reason for widespread usage of music as anti-anxiety and antidepressant therapy and the handiest tool for relaxation when it comes to calming pets. helping ease depression, and aiding recovery from illness.

We are INDIPETS remember and visit us. You can buy for example a budgie for less than 10 $. The price of the cockatiel varies between 25 and 35 $. An Amazonian parrot and grey parrot can be purchased for about 300 – 400$, cockatoo for 1,000 $...... and the price of some parrots reaches $15,000! Your book helped more than a professional trainer I hired for my adopted Golden. We went through biting and dominance issues. The problem I am having now is I still do not trust him 100%. When he bit there really wasn't any sign it was coming (that I noticed). Even now, the only sign that he doesn't like something is a lowered head and sometimes a low growl (the groomer told me this). This dog growls sometimes when he is happy. It is almost like someone taught him not to make any other noise in doors. Outside he will bark. I guess the big question is how do you read a dog's face, body, etc.?

Thanks,
Mark.

To read the complete response please visit
To cure your dog of unwanted aggression please follow what the experts has to say...

photos related to this article is taken from their respective sites. click on the pics to go their respective sites from where I have used.

Elegant Spotted Coach-dog (Dalmatians) – The Symbol Of Glory

Also known by the other names like Dalmatiner, Dalmatinac and Plum Pudding Dog, Dalmatians are really the symbol of glory with the picturesque black or liver-tan spots all over the milky white body. No other pure breed dog in the world has got such an eye catching flashy spotted coat except the Dalmatians. This awe-inspiring spotting through out the body sets the breed apart from all the other breeds of dogs, bringing a very unique and elegant look. This bred is one of the fairly old breeds of dogs that had once been used as a carriage dog. The Dalmatians role as a carriage doge dog was to trot along side the horse cart. Sometimes they also used to trot underneath the axle of the cart for several miles at a stretch. These Dalmatians – the carriage dogs had to protect the occupants from the attack of the highway pirates.

Some of the other names of the Dalmatians are, however,
History Of The Breed
As per the world’s esteemed cynologists the breed was developed in the 18th century in the small province called Dalmatia in Croatia. It is from the name of the province that the breed had been known as Dalmatian. It was not until the year 1955 that FCI – the Federation of Cynologique Internationale had set the origin of the breed to Croatia, although there exist almost not evidence as regard to the history of the breed in the Balkans dates prior to early 20th century. It is due to the lack of proper evidence related to the breed history, that there exist lots of discrepancies regarding the history of origin and development of the Dalmatians.

As a matter of fact, some of the archeological findings have shown the evidences of the existences of the similar kind of dogs the history of origin of which would taken us to the ancient Egypt or Greece or Rome, although it has not yet been proved if our modern Dalmatians has got any genetic connection with those historical dogs at all.

However, there is another group of people who give again a different view regarding where actually the name of the breed have stem out from. According to these vastly learned specialists, the very name “Dalmatian” have come from a painting of 14th century in Florence by a renowned artist named Andrea Bonaiuti. In his painting, Bonaiuti, showed a pack of dogs very much similar to our today’s Dalmatians along with a group of friars donning a stoat fur used to be known as "Dalmatica". It is this term – “Dalmatica”, that the breed in our question had received it name.

These dogs – similar to the modern Dalmatians used to be found along with the company Roman people and had earned quite a great deal of popularity in the Vatican during the 16th century.

However, how the Dalmatians had gained the reputation, as a carriage dog is another part of the story. It was not until the Victorian period in England that the Dalmatians were used as the carriage dogs. During the Victorian period in England the Dalmatians had been used as the symbol of royal fashion – running along the horse cart or carriages. It had also been called as Spotted Coach-dog. It was not merely the fashion or for symbolizing the royal glory that the Dalmatians had been in use as a carriage dog. The most beneficial point hereby is that these dogs used to clear the way for the horses to trot smoothly with any breach of pace. It is beyond all controversies that those dogs not only had speed and skill but also were full of stamina.

During the later phase of time, after the dog was introduced to United States, the use of Dalmatians as a carriage dogs were transformed into the horse drawn fire engines. This is why these dogs are also called the firehouse dogs.

General Appearance Of The Dalmatians
With the well-built structure and a well muscled body, this medium sized dog has got some superior endurance. Noted for its awe-inspiringly elegant black or liver-tan spots through out the white body, the Dalmatians have earned a great deal of popularity all around the globe.

Coat is normally hard, short, dense and glossy but does not have silky texture. This makes the grooming quite easy and faster as well. The high set average long pendulous ears, elegant yet strong structure with muscular trunks and the powerful and level back, thick tapering, little curved tail gives the dog a look very glorious and magnificent.

The unique feature of the breed is that the Dalmatians actually born cute and purely white and acquire the spots much later. It is amongst those deep chested breeds of dogs that usually display an impression of unswerving strength and stamina.

Nature And Temperament
The Dalmatians are normally very playful kind of dog that is in the possession of high spirit and incredible degree of intelligence, which makes the breed easy to train. They are not only very affectionate but quite sensitive as well. a well-bred Dalmatian goes nice with the children but on the contrary it may not be wise enough to leave the little kids alone with a Dalmatian unsupervised due to the fact that it is very active by nature. They may not always be very docile but prove to be a good watchdog.

Health Issue
Alike all the other deep chested breeds of dogs the Dalmatians are highly exposed to the risk of bloat. Hence it is advisable not feed the dog heavily at least two hours before and after a heavy exercise.

Bladder stone is another serious problem that the Dalmatians are highly prone to. it is hence advisable to provide your Dalmatians plenty of clean fresh drinking water.

Very recently the researchers have unearthed the fact that the Dalmatians are also exposed to risk of iris sphincter dysplasia (ISD), which is again a serious of concern for the owners. This affects the pupil of the eyes adversely.

Allergies, epilepsies and thyroid problems are some of the other issues of concern when it comes to the breeds like Dalmatians.

Recognitions
AKC and NZKC have put the breed under the group called Non Sporting Group, while FCI has placed the breed under Group Section 3 #153 and KC (UK) has categorized the breed as the utility group. ANKC nad CKC have placed the breed under Group 6 and Group 7 respectively, while UKC has categorized the breed as Companion dogs.
http://www.indipets.com/products
For other dog articles please visit

Bull Dogs – The Breed That Lost Its Ferociousness

Believed to be among the most ferocious breeds of the world, the English bull dogs or British bull dogs, or simply the bull dogs have failed to earn the degree of admirations and acceptances as most of the other medium sized friendly breeds such as Cocker Spaniels, English Springer Spaniels, Basaenjis, Gordon Setters and etc have.

On the contrary the English bull dogs have got certain typical traits and uniquely distinguishable characteristics alike all the other molosser dog breeds that have set this breed of dog apart from any other dog breeds of the world. It is due to this reason that the bull dogs have been loved by many members of the canine fancier community around the globe. During the early period the bull dogs were really known for its aggressive temperament due to the fact that they have descended from the aggressive and mollossus dogs. But it is by the virtue of the selective and planned breeding, that our present day’s bull dogs have developed a placid and friendly temperament with a strong will power. The bull dog enthusiasts all over the world are all at one to say that our present bull dog is a breed which is incredibly affectionate and adorable and one of the perfect family dog.

The History Of The English Bull Dogs
The history and the origin of the English bull dogs or simply the bull dogs has always been a heated up topic of debate, subject to the controversies among the naturalists and canine experts. While the one contends that the bull dogs have been developed by the cross breeding of the pug dogs with the large mastiffs, the other group of people concludes that the mastiffs have been developed from the bull dogs. There also another school of thoughts, according to which the bull dogs, alike the mastiffs have descended from the Alaunts – severely powerful and aggressive ancient breed of dogs that had been used by the butchers to attack and bring the fierce oxen and keep them in their shops.

Although there are several ideas, thought and theories regarding the history and origin of the bull dogs, yet a point where almost all the breed historians agree upon is that the bull dogs was once used for guarding and controlling the baiting bulls prior to slaughtering. During those days the baiting of the bull was too commonly found because it was believed that the bull must be baited at the very outset so that the meat of the bull would be tender and nutritious.

It was not until the year 1802 that a bill was passed to cease the tradition of bull baiting, although it took 33 more years to get finally stopped. This had a tremendously ill effect on the bull dog breed. With the declination of the use of the breed, the breeding had been stopped resulting in the gradual declination of the pure breed bull dogs. It is due to the small community of the few numbers of dedicated breeders that we find the breed even today.

The first bulldog club was founded in the year 1864 by a man called R.S. Rockstro. Mr. Rockstro had taken certain very responsible steps and called for 30 Bull dog fanciers to formed the club, although the club failed to run for more than three years. During those three years they had already developed the first breed standard – known as “Philo Kuan Standard”

In the year 1875 the original bull dog club was established at the Blue Post Inn, in London, although it was not until the year 1894 that the bulldog club was incorporated. It was long after this that the UK Kennel Club was conceived.

General Appearance
In simple words the general appearance of the bull dogs suggests awesome stability, unparallel vigor and massive innate strength. The bully appearance is the true criterion of the beauty of the breed. The medium sized stocky breed with sturdy trunks, the saggy lump of skin in the facial region, short lobous muzzles is the breed’s unique feature. The most important point to noted is that the saggy skin in its face tends to create an appealing and attractive impact in the viewers’ mind.

With the average adult height of 12 to 14 inches at the wither, large head and the distinguishably well built muscular body, the bull dogs appear to be quite stout giving an impression of having mind blowing self assurance, innate power and great deal of courage.

Nature
Contrary to the common belief, the bull dogs have quite a placid temperament and quite friendly by nature. It is not at all a vicious breed of dog. they are very playful and also quite stubborn, which makes the breed comparatively hard to train. The bull dogs are by nature vhighly protective and loyal companions of the owners.

Although the breed is very adorable, yet these dogs have got certain traits that its has received from its fighter ancestors. The bull dogs normally do not warn a suspicious person or a stranger dog with growl. He would suddenly engage into a serious fight immediately after giving certain symptoms, such as slight stiffening of the body, intent eye to eye contact and repeated licking out of tongue. Once a bull dog gets involved into a fight it is really tough to release it by hitting as it usually feels no pain whin in a fight. Commands also will prove to be useless, as your yell do not reach its ears. The best advice is to avoid such unwanted situation.

Health Issue
Respiratory problem is one of the major problem that the breed uasually suffers from. Although a very sturdy breed the bull dogs cannot tollerate too much heat and may also suffer from the sudden heat styroke – especially during the summer days in the tropical regions. Some other isses of concern are allergies, hip problem, cherry eyes cataract and caesarean delivery.

Recognition
NZKC and AKC have placed the breed under the non sporting group. FCI has placed the breed under Group 2 Section 2 # 149, while ANKC has placed the breed under Group 7 and CKC under Group 6. KC (UK) has categorised the breed as a Utility breed and UKC as the Companion Breed.
For all types of live pets and pet products visit us at http://www.indipets.com/products

Bird Watching And Visual Enhancement Device

Birds are the most fascinating gift of the nature that have adorned the world with some inspirational shades, thereby magnifying the beauty a million times. Unlike the professional ornithologists, engaged in watching and studying birds for the scientific reasons, the act of bird watching is observing and studying birds merely for some recreational purpose. The birds are usually observed with the naked eyes or by the dint of a visual enhancement device, the most commonly used of which is a binocular.

A great section of the world’s overall population is engaged in the hobby of bird watching or birding, although in India it is not too large as compared to the western world. The Indian bird lovers boast at the fact that there exist more than 1200 distinctive species of birds only in India, giving enough scopes for the birders from far and wide to study how they fly, what they feed on, the chirps of each species and there natural instincts.
Bird Watching Binocular

What is essentially necessary hereby is a good visual enhancement device – chiefly a binocular. This is the most significant component without which the hobby of watching birds will be of zero value. The most important fact regarding the issue is that a bird watching binocular is very much different from the a normal binocular and there are certain pivotal points to be seriously considered while buying a bird watching binocular. A good bird watching binocular should be an extremely powerful portable optical device that can give an eagle-eye view. The small binoculars are of no use in these cases. The big sizes yield great results. A minimum of 70 mm objective lens is, however, essential for the good transmission of light.

Another very significant criterion to be considered while buying a bird watching binocular is the kind of optics. Amongst the two different categories, viz. porro and roof prisms, it is advisable to opt for the phase-corrected roof prism binocular, although the porro prism binos are comparatively cheaper. This is due to the fact that the roof prisms binoculars are lighter and yield more detailed results.

Magnification and the objective lens size are the other vital parts of the story, when it comes to choosing bird watching binoculars. The optical power of the binoculars is defined as 10X40 or 8X36, where the first number indicates the number of times the original subject will be magnified or is closer, while the second number denotes the size of the objective lens. The bigger the size of the objective lens, the more light or image detail is going to be captured.

Another significant consideration while choosing a binocular for bird watching is the phase coating, which is basically a special treatment for the roof prism binoculars. The better the quality of the of the phase coating higher will be the resolution and the clarity of the image. With the good quality phase coating of the binoculars the bird watchers get quality range of close focus details along with the enhanced color resolution
http://www.indipets.com/products/binocularars.asp

Breed profile – Jack Russell Terrier

Jack Russell Terriers are amongst the most loved breeds in the world. Its springtime and birds must now turn to nesting. They turn their full attention and energy to nesting during springtime. It is a stressful experience for a bird to move to a new location. They need to adjust to new sights, sounds and foods. No matter how simple, elaborate or decorative, the most important features are safety, the location of the birdhouse and the dimensions and shape of the birdhouse and entrance. A good birdhouse must have the following features:

* Ventilation holes in the top and drainage holes in the bottom
* Absence of a perch by the entrance - perches encourage predators such as cats
* Easy to clean - birdhouses should be thoroughly cleaned once a year to remove last year's nest materials and to prevent nest parasites.

One of the great ways to bring your yard to life with flashes of color, nature’s music and amusement is to provide your birds with their own private nesting area. You can add a birdhouse to your yard or garden where birds can nest safely without fearing natural predators. A birdhouse also provides shelter and warmth during heavy winds and at times of ferocious storms.

If we can have fancy houses, then why not birds? So, be creative, while choosing a birdhouse. Birdhouses range in style from gazebo and Victorian styles to barns and space shuttles. The design is your choice. You might like to build or purchase a birdhouse that will reflect your personal character. Birds aren’t really interested in architectural design, but want a birdhouse that will provide safety, security and easy access.

Bird population is diminishing in today’s world due to the use of chemicals that are polluting their natural habitat and food supply. Birdhouses protect birds and coupled with well-stocked feeders and a variety of seeds and insects from your garden, they will find a safe haven in your backyard. In return, they bring your garden to life with flashes of color, wonderful songs and comical antics.

A birdhouse should be well built, durable, waterproof, cool in summer, warm in winter and easily accessible to birds. Be sure you allow for cleaning when assembling your birdhouse. If you’re planning to purchase one, look for cracks in the wood, knots and other defects that will allow water to get inside. If you’re building the house, use your imagination to create a unique birdhouse that will add a touch of charm to your yard or garden. Nowadays, many varieties of birdhouses are available in the market ranging from plain and simple to the elaborate and decorative.
Plz visit us at http://www.indipets.com/products/birdhouse.asp

Amazing American Bobtail – The Symbol Of Beauty

Relatively a breed of cat that has not gained the high degree of popularity is the American bobtail cat. Appeared in the last phase of 1960’s, the American bobtail cats have not yet been accepted by the cat fancier community of the world. The most distinguishable part of an American bobtail cat is its stubby bobbed tail, which adds weight to the beauty of the animal. The tail of an American bobtail cat is mot more than about one-third to one-half the total length of the other normal breeds of cats. It is due to the genetic mutation that the length of the tail of this breed of cat has become bobbed and shorter as compared to rest of the other breeds of cats.

The American bobtail cats – both the shorthaired and the longhaired versions tend to be quite sturdy and energetic. Although, seems to be of same categories the American bobtail cats are entirely different from the Japanese bobtail cats and the genes that play role in the mutation are entirely different as well.

History
As per many cat fanciers and the researchers the American bobtail cats was developed by crossing breeding the bobcat and domestic tabby cat. According to them the original bloodline of the American bobtail cats had resulted from a series of systematic crossbreeding of different varieties of cats. The first step was the combination of a female Seal point Siamese cat and a male Short-tailed brown tabby cat. This established the basic bloodline of the American bobtail cats. But later the Birman cats, Himalayan cats and Himalayan-Siamese cross elements were combined to the basic bloodline to get what is known to be the American bobtail cats in the present days. The continuous trial for developing the breed by the way of genetic modification have resulted the arrival of the new shorthaired version of the breed.

General Appearance
With moderately longer and substantial body, the broad wedge shaped head, broad-based medium sized ears, large almond shaped eyes, the American bobtail cats have wondrous looks. The slight rectangular stance in the structure with the overall body weight, this breed of cat tends to deliver a unique structural look. The broad unpinched muzzle, the strong jaws, the uncommon eye colorations and the shaggy dense coat of an American bobtail cat delivers a wild tabby appearance. These cats can have any pigmentation of the eyes and the coat. Scanty emphasize is put on the coat color and the color of the eyes. This is due to the fact that the type is the salient point that is taken into serious consideration. The American bobtail cats are the cute showy animals. Too fine boned or the cobby type animals disturb the natural beauteousness of the animal.

Nature
The American bobtails are one of the most intelligent breeds cats. The high degree intelligence is clearly noticed in the expressive almond shaped eyes of the animal. Moreover it is quite energetic by nature, which makes the animals very playful. The most significant part of the character of the American bobtail cats is that they are very friendly as well as quite loyal creature and can adopt themselves to any other pets in the family. Despite the fierce look of the American bobtail cats they are completely domestic creature and its affectionate, inquisitive and tractable nature is really what is worth noticeable.

Recognition
The American bobtail cat has been recognized by the TICA, CFA and ACFA

Health Issue
Some of the American bobtail cats do not have tails. This is one of the biggest problems of the breed. These bobtails are very much prone to many problems due to their shortened spines.
http://www.indipets.com
